Beauty Pie

Nothing better than when a brand opens it’s vaults and let me choose some of my faves AND gives me a code to share as well.

Beauty Pie have been around for a few years disrupting the beauty world (in a good way, mind you) but if you’ve never heard about them before or know it works - have a read of this - but in simply terms, it’s a beauty club where you may a monthly membership fee that gives you a spending limit that you can raise, lower or rollover depending on your needs. Just remember, there is a three month minimum limit on monthly memberships.

Use my code ‘DIJASENTME’ to get £10 off your membership. It will work on both the monthly and PLUS memberships when signing up to Beauty Pie as a NEW customer and you can use it in the UK and US. If you want some ideas, here’s my Beauty Pie picks.

Dry and Dull Skin Saviours

I love, love, love the Triple Hyaluronic Acid selection, especially in winter when skin looses moisture and can look dry and ashy quickly. I know you know what I’m on about! The Skin Mist has the Hyaluronic Acid yes, but also Silicium and Pro-Ceramides Polysugars which all help to strength the skin barrier to help stop that moisture loss happening in the first place. Everybody and anybody can use this at any time of the day AND as often as you like.

The Hyaluronic Acid and Lipopeptide Serum (very lush) is the key to juicy and hydrated skin. It has an ingredient profile that simply just supports skin health - hyaluronic acid, polysaccharides, polysugars and peptides. Apply immediately after cleansing and before moisturiser to sandwich all its goodness into the skin.

Imagine you've been indoors all day, windows shut in a warm house with the radiators on and you’re drinking more caffeine that H2O. Before you know it, you feel a bit meh, sluggish and stuffy. Familiar with that feeling? Think of Pure Oxygen Radiant Glow Moisture Infusion like the blast of fresh air you get when you finally open a window. It refreshes your stale skin quickly and just makes you look alive. Great if you’ve been under the weather and skin has taken a battering. They already had my money at gel-cream texture anyway.

Skin Prep Heroes

The cornerstone of any skincare routine effective cleansing and I am fully paid up member of the double cleansing crew. In my book nothing beats using an oil cleanser as the first step in your evening routine to breakdown make up, sunscreen, sweat, oil and grime from the day. I also love an oil cleanser that emulsifies into a milk so that it is easier to remove. Plantastic Apricot Butter Cleansing Balm is excellent in this regard and more. And that’s on period. Note, if you have active acne, this may not be for you. Tread carefully.

It’s on record that masks aren’t my favourite skincare products. I like for people to invest in products in products that they can get daily use out of, however, masks do have their place, especially if you have oily or combination skin. They can be very handy to soak up excess oil from the skin. Super Pore-Detox Purifying Clay Mask does trick and I have used it numerous times prior to a big event because it helps to temper oil and smooth the skin at the same time. Make up goes on like a dream and lasts much longer as well. I used this the morning of my book launch and my make up was intact until midnight. It's got a number of exfoliating acids, so steer clear if you have any type of sensitive or compromised skin.

BODY, BODY, BODY

You’ll often hear me saying that we don’t give the skin on our body enough love. It’s true we spend all our time and effort on our face and not so much on our body. Not me though, the skin on my body gets just as much love and I love Super Healthy Skin Deluxe Body Moisture Creme. It’s a luscious whipped shea butter with Hibiscus Flower Oil and Meadowfoam Oils. It’s quite light and absorbs quickly, but also smells like an upgrade from basic body moisturiser. That will be down to the citrus, geranium and tonka bean essential oil mix. The Love Body Wash is also a nice accompaniment. Again, I used it on book launch morning because it’s smells beautiful, it's moisturising and does look great on the shower shelf!
