10 Things I'm Really Loving

Here we go, the first instalment of things I’m really loving now!

Dija Ayodele Skincare Beauty Perfume Byredo Bal D'Afrique
  • Byoma Creamy Jelly Cleanser - After a double laser and chemical peel session last week, this was just the right thing to start restoring the skin barrier because it’s chockablock with a moisturising complex of ceramides, cholesterol, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. I had almost discounted it, but it’s earned its spot in my bathroom cabinet. Also it’s a tenner!

  • Elemis Pro-Collagen Morning Matrix, this is a new addition to the world famous Pro-Collagen range. It’s targeted with amino acids and antioxidants to reduce the effects of fast, digital living (of which I am the leader). The former is the building block of skin and the latter protects from environmental damage.

  • Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate - dewy hydration for the skin, I find I’m consistently reaching for this because it promotes skin health and plays nicely with every other products regardless of your skint type. With 25 Years of Research, 200 Beauty Awards and 1 sold every 7 seconds, it deserves full respect.

  • Tatcha The Camellia Cleansing Oil - yes there’s more affordable cleansing oils out there, but why should you not spoil yourself with a decadent one that is elegant and feels like soft silk on the skin. Don’t you deserve?

  • I’m loving starting the day with A Few Wise Words by Peter Mukerjee - There is nothing new under the sun so it pays to listen to people who have had a go on the rodeo.

  • Seabird Restaurant - seafood lovers form an orderly queue. The grub here is for grown ups, the views are spectacular and I don’t know if its the altitude but the whole place just oozes living your best life vibes. Again, you deserve.

  • If like me you can’t get to Mexico, the Side Hustle bar at the Nomad Hotel is a cheap trip - the food is gorgeous, totally authentic and the drinks are strong but delicious.

  • Byredo Bal D’Afrique - This is a spirited scent, intense, vibrant and inspired by African culture and mixed with jazzy hedonistic lifestyle of Paris in the 1920’s. It’s a free and sexy smell. Don’t hold me responsible for any escapades you end up in.

  • Large Gold hoops from Cos but make it statement - these instantly upgrade any outfit. You will look classy, stylish and expensive without even trying. Don’t sleep on Cos jewellery. Yes, it’s not fine jewellery, but it gives what it is supposed to give.

  • I love, love, love Essential Antwerp. At least twice a month you’ll find me dashing there on a Saturday after work for a last minute outfit and I am guaranteed to leave happy. They grown up cuts that are fun, stylish, easy and breezy. The siding is good, I’m currently a sixteen and I don’t feel out of place in there. The clothes make you feel good, the staff are helpful, the boutique is nicely laid out. It’s easy shopping!

  • Kendrick Lamar’s new album - Mr Morales and The Big Steppers is pure societal commentary, that I have constantly on repeat. Raw and honest, which I totally admire, even if some people find some aspects of his social analysis troubling. Listen to it and make up your own mind!
